Boston Uprising Has Hired Mineral As Their Head Coach

Boston Uprising

In May 2018, Boston Uprising’s head coach decided to leave the team. Since then, they have been lacking a head coach. But now, Boston Uprising has finally decided to hire a new one. That’s right, the Overwatch esports team has hired Vytis “Mineral” Lasaitis as their head coach. For those who don’t know, Mineral is one of the best Overwatch coaches out there who has served as the coach of many other teams.

Minera’s Career

Mineral’s career began when he joined Ventus Gaming as a player. He has been a part of various esports organizations, such as Luminosity Gaming, Experiment, 2sTroNk, and the Balkan Bears. After spending some time with all of these, he decided to play for Misfits in 2017. His coaching career started when he became the coach of Misfit on August 2017. He then left the organization and became a coach of Florida Mayhem’, where he served until April 2019.

Mineral was released from Flordia Mayhem after the organization moved on to a full Korean Roster. He was replaced by Sang-min “INSIGHT” Oh. For a few months, he remained low and didn’t join any other organization. But now, the latter has finally decided to start working again. In his statement, Mineral claimed that after a brief hiatus, he is very excited to return to the Overwatch League 2020 under the Boston Uprising.

Mineral is The Guy Boston Uprising Needed

He further mentioned that he is always looking for ways to learn and get better and that Boston Uprising is going to help him with that. At the end of his statement, he claimed that he knows the team has experienced both highs and lows since the league’s inception, but he will try his best to make them reach the top in 2020. Mineral is the guy who has worked with various organizations and has a lot of experience in this field. If anyone can help Boston Rising reach the top, then it is him for sure.

Boston Uprising will now finally have a head coach. Since Dae-hee “Crusty” Park stepped down from the role in May 2018, fans have been eagerly waiting to see a new head coach. However, until now, Boston Uprising has been going forward with the help of three assistant coaches. These are Rollon “Mini” Hamelin, Jordan “Gunba” Graham, and Jackson “Shake” Kaplan. Unfortunately, Gunba will be leaving the team during the 2020 Overwatch League season. If this is the case, then Boston Uprising will have one head coach and two assistant coaches during the mentioned season.

The President of Gaming at Boston Rising, Chris “HuK” Loranger gave a statement in which he claims that he is excited to add Mineral as the head coach of the team. According to him, Mineral is the guy who can push the team forward and give them a strong 2020 season. The 2019 Overwatch League season was not a good season for Boston Uprising. The team was placed eight in Stage 1, 13th in Stage 2, 16th in Stage 3, and at the last position in Stage 4 with 0 wins. But now, we can expect the team to perform better in the next season.
