Triumph did much better than expected in the groups, qualifying with 5 points. They had one victory against Cloud9 and two draws, against 100 Thieves and Evil Geniuses. But now they’ll face the winner of ESL One: Road to Rio – North America and DreamHack Open Anaheim 2020. And that’s going to be a huge challenge. Gen.G finished the Group Stage with mixed results: one victory against Chaos Esports Club, one loss against FURIA, and one draw against MIBR. However, the level of skill in Group A was higher than what we saw in Group B. And given that Triumph is only ranked 49th globally while Gen.G is ranked 14th, I’m confident that autimatic and his squad will ultimately win, even though they might need 3 maps to do it.
