MIBR finished Group A with 1 victory (against FURIA!) and two draws. These results look very impressive and suggest a comeback on MIBR’s part. The Brazilian squad had started to descend into tier 2 territory. But now that we see it doing well against world-class opponents such as FURIA and Gen.G, we can be more confident in their odds of success. Cloud9 did considerably worse in Group B, winning against 100 Thieves and losing to Evil Geniuses and Triumph. All of their matches were very close, ending with 16 – 14 and 16 – 13 scores. MIBR should win this match. The most likely result is a 2 – 1 in their favor.
